Do you see sustainability as an enabler for better business in general and better procurement in particular? Are you passionate about the objective to become People and Planet Positive? Then we are looking for you. • You have a university degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Sustainability or Environmental Science • You have 3-5 years of professional experience within Sustainability from international organizations • It is a merit if you have experience in last mile delivery and services, construction sector or facility management • It is a merit if you have knowledge in current labour legislation developments, like minimum wages and contracted hours. • You have proven experience of driving projects to a successful implementation • You are a skilled user of the Microsoft Office suit, especially PowerPoint and Excel • You are fluent in Dutch and English, both written and verbal, French is an asset. You are a natural in building and maintaining good relationships with people and you have a strong business mindset and drive to deliver results. As a person you have great communication skills and identify with and live by the IKEA values. You enjoy working in a modern, ambitious and ever changing environment together with colleagues across the world.
You will work with different people in different locations and the position will require travel. The position is located in the IKEA Service Office in Haarlem (NL) or Zaventem (BE). The scope of the job is sustainability work to be conducted in Netherlands and Belgium. For us at IKEA, the most important thing is that you share our values. ABOUT THIS WORK AREA
As Sustainability Developer you contribute to deliver to the objectives of the IKEA sustainability strategy. You support Procurement of indirect products & services for IKEA with both strategic and operational sustainability expertise by inspiring, challenging, communicating and leading by example. You will develop our indirect Suppliers in accordance to our Sustainability and Procurement strategies and make them fit to comply with our supplier code of conduct as well as moving them up on the staircase of further commitment. You will ensure customer satisfaction by being the link between customer (market), category, supplier and own function. Day-to-day support on sustainability in Procurement process, both related to securing supply chain sustainability compliance and developing innovative solutions in line with the Ingka Group sustainability and procurement strategy. You are a member of the Ingka Procurement sustainability matrix where you will take responsibility for supporting a specific geographical area as well as specialising in sustainability topics relevant for different Ingka Procurement categories as for example Facility Management, Professional Services, Marketing, Equipment and Service Businesses like last mile delivery.
