WHO YOU ARE

For this role we believe you have minimum 10 years of experience in Sales, review and development or similar and delivering results as well as minimum 5 years of experience in leading and influencing co-workers. In addition, you have experience from retail, preferably home furnishing sector, as well as experience in planning, driving output and measuring performance (business). You have broad knowledge of IKEA concept, brand objectives, values and vision as well as IKEA tools, processes and cycles as well as Group strategies, priorities and business planning process as well as operational plans and goals including follow up on KPIs. Further, you have broad knowledge of the IKEA multichannel reality and online customer behaviours as well as of the methods and metrics used to measure competence and development as well as of sales mechanisms and the pulse of the market (customers, competition, news) as well as of external functional trends and market developments. On top of this, you have broad knowledge of how consumer acts, feels and behaves in a retail environment to apply the insights in the shopping experience design in all touchpoints as well as about the local market environment, expectations from customers today and tomorrow to secure that commercial and service offers meet customer demands and needs. You also possess good knowledge of project and change management methods and tools as well as stakeholder management. You have ability to understand the complexity of IKEA business and the role of Commercial as an integrated part of the business. You have good leadership capabilities including ability to lead peers and stakeholders while communicating in an inspirational way with IKEA tone of voice. In addition, you have ability to take a holistic view of a global organisation and identify business opportunities accordingly as well as ability to prioritise and make decisions with speed and simplicity as well as ability to follow up and measure performance of output per unit, per SME area or across functions to capture learnings to improve planning and performance moving forward.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role as Country Review & Development Leader, you are responsible for planning, leading and coordinating the review process within the Commercial function in order to identify improvement areas and learning gaps to enable increased efficiency and effectiveness. You are also responsible for providing support for all channels in Retail foundation and function specific best practices in order to develop the competitiveness and conversion. You will: • Conduct and coordinate Functional Reviews and consolidate review outcomes to contribute with identification of improvement areas for each individual unit • Identify and share relevant best practices to optimize way of working throughout all channels in the market • Coach unit colleagues based on functional improvement plans from the reviews to improve their unit’s performance and address individual gaps within the unit • Contribute with identifying competence gaps (per subject matter area, per unit, across function) in cooperation with subject matter experts within the function in order to highlight learning needs • Consolidate competence gaps & learning needs and provide to People & Culture dedicated role as input to the development of learning offer/solutions • Follow-up on learning offer availability and take-up to ensure competence gaps are minimized • Actively work with People & Culture to establish a proactive approach to secure talent and development of co-worker competence within Commercial • Actively cooperate with all key stakeholders within commercial and beyond to secure integration, common focus and to maximize impact (for example Digital, CFF (Customer Fulfilment), Communications, Sustainability, BNOF (Business Navigation Operations & Finance), People & Culture) • Contribute to the integrated multichannel executions/output of the function in order to contribute to the business goals • Support the global Solution Owner for Store Panning Tools with knowledge and competence to improve and optimize the functionality of the solution by capturing and analyzing requests from users (applies to systems, tools and solutions outside the scope of the Commercial Super User, e.g. where provided by CBF, Market Support or other, as opposed to Digital Unit Product Teams) • Be an active player in driving an open and sharing climate, be a role model of the IKEA values and contribute to the transformation of IKEA In this role you will report to the Selling Manager. This role is located in Zaventem.
