Job description

For this role we believe you have minimum 5 years of experience in Publication or similar as well as experience in driving output within a set scope and following up on results. -You have deep knowledge of publishing and editing publications :publishing tools, production processes and cycles. -You also have good experience in project management as well as knowledge of local Retail and Home Furnishing trends. -Furthermore, you have good knowledge of publication distribution strategies and tactics, including and the ability to calculate optimal IKEA catalogue coverage. You are well aware of the needs and challenges of working in a multichannel reality and are able to take online customer behaviours into account. -You have excellent language skills: English and Dutch or French -You understand the role of Marketing and Publication as an integrated part of the IKEA business. You have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trustful relationships. --On top of this, you have the ability to deliver within a set scope of tasks and perform with quality and speed as well as the ability to follow up on work done and capture learnings to improve.


In the role as Country Publication Specialist, you are responsible for coordinating the marketing processes around the IKEA Catalogue and other publications within the market. You will: • Act as a member of the Marketing team and proactively contribute to marketing plan/output in order to deliver to the common objectives and goals • Be responsible for adapting IKEA Catalogue and other publications content to local market needs including translations, copywriting and coordinating market specific content • Supervise the printing of the IKEA Catalogue and other publications in the market • Adapt the catalogue production cycle to related global IKEA processes, and adjust it to country specific work-streams in order to ensure all processes operate seamlessly together • Be responsible for creating a consistent distribution plan (launch and delivery) by evaluating and choosing the most effective distribution method(s), selecting reliable distribution partners, defining quality checks across the delivery process and tracking the progress in order to secure continuous process improvement. • Actively cooperate with all key stakeholders within commercial and beyond to secure integration, common focus and maximize impact • Contribute to the integrated multichannel executions/output of the function in order to contribute to the business goals • Be an active player in driving an open and sharing climate • Support all initiatives in the agreed communication plan (e.g. promote home solar) In this role you will report to the Country Marketing Communications Manager. The role is located in Zaventem.
