Job description

Product Communicator in Market Specific Hub is responsible for creating and securing high quality product communication content for all sales channels and media and by that make the mechanical buying process easy and smooth for our customers.
The communication should create the right expectations and satisfy, or even exceed, customer needs by giving honest, clear, relevant and inspiring product information throughout the Consumer Decision Journey.

About responsibilities:

  • Secure the customer and communication perspective on each product by working closely together with Trader, Product Development Engineer and Project Controller, securing a complete and consistent offer.
  • Analyze the need of product communication content – what to communicate, when and how - for all media, by doing a product communication analysis and take a complete content ownership.
  • Be in close contact with the Marketing & Communication Communicators in IoS, to make sure that the communication is in line with HFBs main communication messages and commercial strategies.
  • Act as a key contributor in the development of new communication content, based on the needs from range, legal compliance, sustainability, customers, markets or media/sales channels.
  • Execute the communication analysis and act as a project leader when ordering/briefing and approving product communication content, e.g. texts, visuals and store communication.
  • Secure the quality of product communication content in Product Information Assistance (PIA) and other back-end databases.
  • Challenging ways of working, always striving to lead with speed as well as quality.

To be successful in this role you need to have:

•    Knowledge of media landscape
•    Project Management skills
•    Home Furnishing knowledge
•    Knowledge about life at home
•    Clear communication skills securing IKEA tone of voice
•    Ability to strategically analyze the communication need
•    Ability to apply range and communication direction to product communication
•    Ability to make decisions and take initiative
•    Ability to handle situations and problems with innovation and solution orientation
•    Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
•    Experience of working throughout all dimensions of communication; graphics, visual and copy
•    Proven ability to secure quality of product communication in copy, layout and artwork
•    Visible capability to meet goal on time and within budget
•    Ability to set and implementi action plans,  provide clear direction and follow up goals
•    Ability to communicate confidently and clearly in English
•    Ability to engage and inspire others
•    Retail and/or home furnishing experience and interest
•    Problem-solving experience.
