About you
Do you see sustainability as an enabler for better business in general and better procurement in particular? Are you passionate about the objective to become People and Planet Positive?
Then we are looking for you.
  • You have a university degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Sustainability or Environmental Science
  • You have 3-5 years of professional experience within Sustainability from international organizations
  • It is a merit if you have experience in last mile delivery and services, construction sector or facility management
  • You have proven experience of driving projects
  • You are a skilled user of the Microsoft Office suit, especially PowerPoint and Excel
  • You are fluent in German and English, both written and verbal
You are a natural in building and maintaining good relationships with people and you have a strong business mindset and driveto deliver results. As a person you have great communication skills and identify with and live by the IKEA values. You enjoy working in a modern, ambitious and ever changing environment together with colleagues across the world.

About the job

As Sustainability Developer you contribute to deliver to the objectives of the IKEA sustainability strategy. You support Procurement with both strategic and operational sustainability expertise by inspiring, challenging, communicating and leading by example. You will develop our Suppliers in accordance to our Sustainability and Procurement strategies and make them fit to comply with our supplier code of conduct as well as moving them up on the staircase of further commitment.

You are a member of the Procurement sustainability matrix where you will take responsibility for supporting a specific geographical area as well as specialising in sustainability topics relevant for different Procurement categories or leading certain sustainability competence areas across the matrix.
You will work with different people in different locations and the position will require travel.
The position is located in our Ingka Procurement site located in Wiesbaden close to the German IKEA Head office. The scope of the job is sustainability work to be conducted in Austria, Germany, Switzerland.For us at IKEA, the most important thing is that you share our values.
