IKEA Industry is the world’s largest producer of wooden furniture and is an integrated part of IKEA Group. IKEA Industry has 44 production units in 11 countries with about 20 000 co-workers. Every year, IKEA Industry produces more than 100 million pieces of furniture for IKEA customers.
IKEA Industry Novgorod Flatline Factory is a greenfield project started by Inter IKEA group in 2016. Key products in our portfolio are METOD cabinets and PAX wardrobes delivered to IKEA customers in Europe, Russia and UAE. Operating new high-tech equipment, we produce 20 cabinets and 14 shelves per minute with ambition to reach yearly capacity 7 million cabinets in 2020. To enable our growth agenda and better utilize we are currently looking for Supply Chain Manager to join Factory Management Team. Supply Chain Manager will directly report to Factory Manager and functionally to Division Supply Chain Manager based in IKEA Industry headquarter in Sweden.
Supply Chain Manager role is to ensure that IKEA products are available to the customer at right quantity and at the right time. Supply Chain Manager is jointly responsible within the Factory Management Team for meeting Factory goals as well as development and realization of the Business Plan.
Provide major contribution to factory business development, support development of strategic footprint from product range and markets dimensions; participate in business planning and setting strategic goals.
Secure dynamic and effective cooperation and communication processes between factory supply chain team and business partners inside and outside IKEA.
Being a member of factory management team actively contribute to team and leadership development in the factory.
Lead consistent dialogue with IKEA Purchasing about volumes and prices development in short and long term perspectives, ensure quality and consistency in used calculations and evaluations.
Ensure Supply chain team development based on IKEA culture and values; support consistent professional and personal growth of co-workers; provide mentor and coach roles as natural part of leadership development.
Secure systematic development of Logistics, Planning, Warehouse management, Procurement processes; ensure it resulted in properly implemented and documented policies, procedures and routines.
Take active role in implementing Lean principles (IPS) and continuous improvements programs and projects within Supply chain department.
Ensure attitudes and behaviors in the team according to Key IKEA Values and Inter IKEA Code of Conduct.
Secure compliance with IWAY Standard internally and by Factory suppliers as per IKEA requirements.
University degree in Management or related discipline.
English at Upper-Intermediate level.
5+ years of supply chain manufacturing experience; or alternative Logistics management experience in IKEA retail organization.
3+ years of managerial experience with 5+ direct reports.
Hands-on experience in material flow, production planning, warehouse management, continuous improvement practices, and process analysis.
Proficient PC user, preferably including ERP, presentation skills in PP.
Developed communication and leadership skills, team player, problem solver, out-of-the-box thinking.
Experience with Talent Management systems and Succession Planning – preferable.
