About you: To be able to succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:
Knowledge of how to train and educate large groups
An understanding of local and national laws and regulations
The ability to ensure the integrity of safety and security systems, guidelines and documentation
Proven ability to prioritise and organise own work in alignment with agreed safety and security priorities
Demonstrated ability to work in fast paced and high pressure environment, and stay calm under pressure
A current security licence (1AC) for New South Wales (or have ability to obtain one) including a first aid certificate
Certificate IV in WHS, experience in retail or home furnishing and experience gained in the field of safety and/or security highly regarded
About the job: As a Safety & Security Specialist at IKEA, you will:
Protect IKEA co-workers, customers and assets from preventable loss, injury or illness within the store in order to support the IKEA objectives;
Be a valued business partner who drives for sustainable solutions and improves the profit of the store without jeopardizing the desired level of IKEA safety and security;
Proactively assess and manage risks, and influence management and co-workers within the store to establish an IKEA culture that is risk aware; and
Ensure compliance with the IKEA Group Risk Manual, IKEA rules and guidelines, and national and local legal requirements.
