Internal Communication Leader

You will enjoy creating engaging internal communications program. To be successful in this role you need proven advanced training in strategic communications or equivalent with a minimum of 5-8 years of both external and internal communication experience. You have proven experience in internal communication and senior experience in working with strategic communication and/or business leadership. Furthermore, you have experience using insights to formulate communication strategies, plans and activities to meet IKEA business and receiver needs. Your communication skills in English (spoken and written) are strong. Knowledge of the IKEA brand, culture, values and way of working is preferred. You have knowledge in the following areas: • Deep knowledge of working in the field of Co-worker communication • How to lead communication by defining, planning, executing and following-up communication to relevant stakeholders and to keep our co-workers well informed, engaged and empowered • The process for delivering efficient communication and stakeholder plans, tools and the internal IKEA communication channels • Digital Communication techniques • IKEAs corporate identity, core values and vision of creating a better everyday life for the many people, to ensure right representation Additionally, you demonstrate strong IKEA leadership skills, by using sound judgements to make timely and effective decisions. You hold the ability to understand the complexity of IKEA business and the role of Co-worker communication as an integrated part of the business. You have excellent interpersonal skills and capability to manage internal stakeholders together with the ability to communicate verbally, visually and in writing in an inspirational way with IKEA tone of voice. You know how to take a leading role in Co-worker communication with the business goal, co-workers and public trust in focus.

A DAY IN YOUR LIFE WITH US

You will be responsible for the Australian Co-worker communication strategy and contribute to the purpose of the function by leading, steering and ensuring the implementation of the strategy for Co-worker communication - in line with IKEA values. You lead internal communication flow in the market and secure the communication process by defining, planning, executing and following up communication to relevant stakeholders. You are expected to drive an open and sharing climate, being a role model of the IKEA values where our co-workers are informed, engaged and empowered. You will: • Develop, lead and implement the Australian co-worker communication strategy and secure the communication process by defining, planning, executing and following up in line with Ingka strategy • Be responsible for the development and delivery of the Co-worker communication agenda, content and channels • Implement global standards and guidelines on Co-worker communication and make it market relevant • Apply stakeholder management to develop a deep understanding of stakeholder drivers and target communication effectively. • Proactively collaborate with global Group Communication to improve the overall development of the Co-worker communication strategy • Be a communication expert for Sustainability, People & Culture and CFF and a direct contact and support for communication needs and advice on effective choices within the specific areas of Sustainability, People & Culture and CFF • Build a deep understanding of Sustainability, People & Culture and CFF objectives in order to tie communications work directly to desired business outcomes • Be a coach and partner to managers when it comes to (co-workers) communication
