Do you enjoy working in a hands-on environment? To be in the running for our next IKEA Food Co-worker, we need you to have:

•A passion for making food and enriching the customer experience
•A ‘Togetherness’ mindset where you’ll work closely with your team and other departments yet also be able to work independently
•An energetic approach as this department can become extremely busy
•Strong customer focus, ensuring we keep the customer in mind no matter what we do
•Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
•A safe mindset, and being comfortable with physical work and manual handling including repetitive heavy lifting
•Have availability to work a rotating roster with shifts ranging from 8am to 10pm everyday and 3 out of 4 weekends a month
•Previous experience in a fasted paced kitchen environment is highly regarded

This is a temporary (3 Month) part time (24 hours per fortnight) opportunity to join the food team at IKEA Tempe!

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

• Serving our light refreshments to customers and operating the cash register for purchases
• Preparing and presenting our light refreshments, adhering to our high quality standards
• Understands and complies with local food safety regulations
• Provides excellent service to customers in the bistro
• Offers solutions to customers with allergies and dietary restrictions
• Minimizes waste in line with the IKEA Sustainability Direction

A key role of the Bistro team is to serve our world-famous hot dogs, meatballs and other delicious Swedish snacks, selling a little taste of Sweden for our customers to take home. Together we strive to deliver a prime dining experience for the customer shopping journey and ensure our shoppers and their stomachs are truly satisfied.
