Want to be part of developing IKEA Southeast Asia? Interested in new markets, new store formats, distribution set-ups and the multi-channel transformation? You want to be part of discussing how IKEA is best set-up to meet customer demands and profitability? In this role you support the Business Navigation Manager, IKEA Southeast Asia and the Deputy Retail Manager (Multi Channel), IKEA Southeast Asia in creating financial clarity as to various business cases as well as many opportunities in improving day to day operations. This assignment requires experience in navigation, a pro-found interest in modelling and a natural inquisitive mind-set able to work independently and together with other on a variety of assignments.

The Business Navigator function is critical to the Retail business as its purpose is to navigate the growth of IKEA and steer the business towards a sustained long term profitability. You will need to analyse what moves the performance in the different dimensions of the business and consequently recommend improvements in close cooperation with the different stakeholders in the organisation. These improvements concern both short term actions as also new tactics in our strategic planning. You support the management in setting commercial, financial and operational targets and then securing adequate reporting and you will need to actively look for efficient working methods.

  • You are someone with more than 5 years of experience in management accounting and commercial/financial reporting with proven strong analytical and numerical skills. You will play a key role in the budgeting and forecasting process.
  • A key aspect of the role is to ensure the IKEA business performance commentaries are delivered to relevant stakeholders in a timely and concise manner. You possess good communication and presentation skills.
  • You have a degree in Business or related field, and have the ability to simplify complex financial information (i.e. Revenue, COGS, Operating cost, Balance Sheet) into a structured way.
