As the sourcing developer, you will be the owner of the Purchase Development Process and be responsible for its implementation and continuous improvement. You will contribute to the development and implementation of the category strategy and sourcing plan and realize cost savings contributing to decrease the overall cost base within the company.
• You have experience in logistics or as a buyer. • You have a strong business mindset, fact-based leadership skills and excellent analytical capabilities. • You can perform business opportunity analyses, risk assessment, scenario planning and of drawing conclusions to support the right business decisions and implementations. • You possess an in-depth knowledge of the retail and/or home furnishing industries as well as Switzerland-specific conditions and macro-economic trends. • You are an excellent communicator in English and German (verbal and written), have a geniune interest in cross-functional collaboration and are capable of building trustful, long-term business partnerships. • You embrace working in a fast-changing environment and have a passion for continuous improvement.
• Leading the purchase development process to contribute to the creation and implementation of the category sourcing plans. • Developing, securing and driving clear sourcing assignments ready for execution together with relevant business partners. • Analyzing business needs, identifying unnecessary costs and collaborating closely with relevant business partners to develop new standards and ways of lowering these costs. • Continuously monitoring the supplier market to find new business opportunities and explore the innovation potential for a given category. • Applying a fact- based business leadership style and establishing trusting relationships with key business partners that are maintained over time.
