Country Facility Management Specialist (m/f/d) 80% fixed-term contract until 31.07.2020


WHO YOU ARE:
  • You have experience in a multi-unit facilities management organization, preferably in a high-volume retail sector.
  • You have proven experience in working with sustainability and the environment from an FM perspective, in relation to your specialist area.
  • You have proven project management (preferably in PPS methodology), change management experience and preferably, working knowledge of CAFM (computer aided facility management) systems.
  • You have good knowledge of the IKEA culture and understanding of FM in IKEA
  • Basic standard of written and verbal communication skills in English. Another country language is wished
  • Good interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, communication and organizational skills. Ability to coach, develop, share knowledge and collaborate with others (within the function and with other functions).

YOUR RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Using your specialist knowledge, support the country FM Manager in the delivery of all agreed FM services in the sites of your country, in strict adherence with all applicable local regulations and IKEA Group mandatories.
  • Develop and maintain subject area expertise both personally and within the FM organization; drive the requirement collection process in your specialist area with relevant stakeholders
  • Support the sites and the country FM organization in the specialist area (e.g. by establishing and sharing periodic reports and updates on the subject matter area, by providing training), allowing them to work in a more efficient way and making them aware about improvement potentials
  • Drive the implementation of approved best-practices and projects, aimed at lowering operational cost, and improving the reliability of assets and the efficiency of the FM services
  • Drive the impact on the operational and financial results of FM and the IKEA business.
  • Take responsibility for your own development and turn to your manager for support in improving your competencies
  • Create an environment of trust by encouraging open, constructive, honest, two-way feedback.
Together as a TEAM:
Facility Management (FM), as a part of Property, combines people, processes and technology to maintain sites and buildings, and provide/improve services to the IKEA business throughout the building lifecycle. It is about managing and maintaining a healthy, safe and suitable work environment for a good business performance and supporting a sustainable business development at the lowest possible long-term cost.
Support the delivery of the agreed FM services (both hard and soft FM services) by maintaining and sharing an up-to-date expertise in a specialist area.
Be close to your internal customer in both the country organization and the sites and provide advice, mentoring and support. Enhance IKEA’s specialist area knowledge, while driving operational best practice within the business.
The contract will be fixed-term, with a chance to extend, but let’s talk about this in the Interview.
