Reporting to the Risk Manager (Retail), covering full IKEA operations, your primary responsibilities are to:
Assist in the implementation of an efficient, functional risk management organisation, securing IKEA level of protection in accordance with applicable health, safety, fire prevention, security and investigation with IKEA intended level of protection.
Communicate, create awareness and train co-workers to ensure that IKEA intended level of health, safety and security are known and implemented. This include providing directional support, monitor compliance, conduct compliance checks / reviews, documenting and ensuring that actions are implemented and followed up.
Build strong relationships to understand and support functions’ needs, be a competent and trusted business partner, identifying emerging risk, and ensuring early involvement in new initiatives and units.
Assist in the development and implementation of effective procedures including country specific rules in relation to health, safety and security.
Provide guidance on internal standards when “grey areas” exist, evaluate impact on risk exposure from non-compliance issues and facilitate formal approval, including identifying and mitigating health, safety and security risks using the Risk Management Process.
With at least 5 years in Risk Management / Compliance function, ideally in a retail or construction environment.
You are someone with qualification in engineering and/or construction field, preferably a certification in fire safety.
You are self-oriented and a decisive leader who believes in sharing ideas / best practices. With resilience, good communication and interpersonal skills, you are able to “build from scratch” and report key concerns, securing the full involvement of business stakeholders at all levels.
You have a track record in setting up complete risk framework and driving changes in complex environment, having gained extensive exposure to the build-up of IKEA stores.
You also have got operational experience in a retail environment.
