About the job

  • Lead the store Logistics department and work with the country Logistics team as well as the store commercial team to secure the highest goods availability for customers at all times at the lowest possible cost.
  • Accountable for the logistic capacity in the store, to include space, equipment and people, as a part of the supply chain capacity.
  • Accountable for overall availability, quality of logistics and service operations, follow up of performance and costs of logistics operations.
  • Monitor the Logistics department's performance in order to take relevant actions to achieve the goals for growth, budget and performance in the store business plan and logistics action plan.
  • Actively participating in creating the business plan in the store, based on input from global and national priorities and taking into account the local market needs and maximise the commercial opportunities.
  • Ensure that the store Logistics department works in compliance with the IKEA Code of Conduct, internal IKEA regulations and local legislation relating to health, safety and security and the environment.
  • Using the strategic directions and business plan goals in order to work with your team to develop and implement a clear store logistic plan. Ensure this plan is clearly understood by your team and that they know how they can actively contribute to achieving our goals.
  • Actively lead and ensure that I have in place a living succession plan, working with your matrix manager and the human resources manager.
  • Lead and inspire team and use logistics expertise in order to secure service level goals, efficient low cost goods-flow processes and logistic competence in the store.
  • Accountable for service performance and costs of local & central customer deliveries. Strengthen the main objectives of IKEA to be leader in life at home in our local market and achieve growth and sustained long term profitability


Qualification

Your profile

  • At least 5 - 8years experience in strong leadership in managing, leading and developing a team, preferably gained in a retail or logistics environment.

  • Have the interest in retailing and supply chain logistics with a strong desire to maximise turnover, creating profit and improving customers’ shopping experience.

  • Strong in personal drive, planning and organizational skills, tactical abilities and high energy level.

  • Experience of setting and implementing action plans, setting budgets and following up goals.

  • Ability to meet agreed budgets and goals and comprehensive long term planning for the department.

  • You are analytical, able to make objective decisions based on monitoring and reviewing of the in-store Logistics system and other available information.

  • You are a team player with strong interpersonal skills; able to establish and maintain effective work relationships with cross-departmental colleagues.

  • You are able to commit to work on shift duties, public holidays and weekends when required.
