As a member of the store steering team, you are responsible to steer the store towards growth, optimal performance and sustained long-term profitability, in line with the IKEA objectives and values. You shall be leading a diverse team and be overseeing areas relating to finance, commercial, safety and security, facilities management and staff resource planning.
Actively contributing to the development of the IKEA store business plan and ensuring it is aligned with IKEA global directions, the IKEA South East Asia priorities and local potential.
Leading discussions around the store’s profit and loss (P&L); taking responsibility to communicate our financial goals to ensure alignment and understanding by the retail management and store steering team.
Identifying business opportunitiesto grow sales and improve gross profit by using all available information and through deep understanding of our primary market.
Steering effective use of staffing resources through productivity measurements.
Engaging all functions to comply with rules and guidelines for the IKEA Group Risk Manual and country legislation to ensure the safety of our co-workers, visitors and property.
Accountable for the maintenance and property management of the store.
Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in a financial/commercial leadership position.
Proven track record in identifying business trends, providing sound recommendations and establishing relationships with business stakeholders.
Experience of setting and implementing business action plans, budgeting and forecasting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to work per retail operating hours i.e. weekends, public holidays and shifts is a must.
