Supply Chain Network Designer - DND AP

Job description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The role of the Supply Chain Network Designer is to deliver the analysis, conclusion, and plan that will contribute to IKEA’s growth by having the right fulfilment capacities available in time and at the right place. The role focus on securing and optimisation of the long-term supply chain network road map in the region, as well as creating and developing logistics principles to be used in the network.

Job ASSIGNMENTS: 

Ø  Lead network optimization activities in the regional central fulfilment network

Ø  Optimize supply chain network based on future planning performance through network, inventory an flow optimization (e.g. with SC Guru) for the region

Ø  Simulate supply chain performance through advanced analytics

Ø  Support Franchisee for multichannel network design

Ø  Create Supply Chain roadmaps to enable market expansion in new countries

Ø  Contribute to the establishment of Distribution Network Design function

Ø  Establish and implement guidelines (e.g. design principles) and ways of working

Ø  Reporting of a qualitative outcome and result of the projects/initiatives during implementation

Ø  Prepare and be involved in various performance updates

Ø  Create and develop supply chain principles for the supply chain network

Ø  Improve ways of working

Ø  Challenge existing network plans and principles

Ø  Professionally manage a diverse group of stakeholders

Job Requirements:  

Ø  Specific Supply Chain Guru Competences:

o   Network Optimization models

o   Cost modelling

o   Greenfield

o   Data Guru

o   Inventory optimization

o   Flow optimization

o   Simulation

o   Service Optimization

o   Advanced constraints

o   Transportation (optional)

Ø  Experienced in working with data management

Ø  Experienced in related field with excellent proven track record (high performer)

Ø  Excellent mathematics and analytical skills e.g. SQL, Tableau, ClickView

Ø  Proven skills in project management

Ø  Good understanding of Supply Chain Management and Network Planning

Ø  Good written and spoken English

Ø  Proven record of consistently meeting agreed time line and goals over a number of years

Ø  Working in a way which reflects the IKEA values

Ø  Ability to explain complex systems in an understandable way to a wide stakeholder group
