IKEA Supply China (“ISCN”) is the wholesale business unit buying IKEA goods from Suppliers and selling to retailers in Asia Pacific region, comparable to IKEA Supply AG.  As a unit equipped with finance, legal, risk, compensation & benefit, corporate communication specialists, ISCN also provides common/shared services to all Inter IKEA business units and sites in China.

About the job

To support the wholesale operation and other Inter IKEA units in China to comply with group policies and legal requirements in the areas of Crisis management, Safety and Security, Information Security and Data Privacy, and Risk Management processes.

Your assignment

  • Drive a broad and proactive risk handling approach with the business stakeholders, creating risk awareness, risk resilience and risk handling in a consistent manner together with respective stakeholders.  Proactively identify emerging risks, and ensure early involvement in new initiatives and units.

  • Facilitate the creation and development of Inter IKEA China units’ Risk Registers.

  • Establish and implement an effective compliance process to ensure compliance with internal Inter IKEA and external legal demands.  Support the internal audit / investigation activities are executed in accordance with establish Inter IKEA Group Standards.

  • To be general insurance co-ordinator in China.

  • To be the owner of the China Crisis Management Program and ensure that all business units in China follow the same structure (in accordance with Inter IKEA Group Standards) and base in which we can efficiently manage the crisis.  Support all stakeholders in China to ensure the business continuity plans implemented in all business units in China.

  • Build strong relationships in the country in order to understand and support the needs from functions and to be a competent and trusted business partner.

  • Lead competence development and succession planning in risk areas in China.  Communicate, create awareness, coach and train co-workers to ensure that IKEA intended level of health, safety & security are known and implemented.

  • Secure that Inter IKEA level of protection is in accordance with applicable health, safety, fire prevention, security and investigation standards in all units and with Inter IKEA intended level of protection.

  • Develop and implement effective procedures (including country specific rules) in relation to health, safety and security.   Ensure incidents reporting

  • Conduct compliance checks & reviews on health, safety and security standards (in units relevant for the country), document them, and ensure that actions are implemented and followed up by the responsible.
