Based in Shanghai with additional units in Taiwan, Vietnam and India, the IKEA Product Development Center Asia Pacific (PDC AP) comprehensively researches life in Asia while working closely with IKEA suppliers to design and develop products that make a difference.
As Project Controller, you are part of the product offer development teams. You will contribute to the development and administration of both new and existing products. You work actively with project management to ensure that the team delivers to project ambition and time plan. Together with the team you stay on top of deviations and you will ensure the team’s compliance to processes, working methods and business rules.
About the assignment
Your main responsibilities as Project Controller are:
Responsible for, together with the Product Developer, taking the lead in project.
Lead planning and following up on product development projects according to project goal, time plan and KPI:s
Administration of the range in the internal product information system and of the projects in the project management tool
Ensure alignment within the project team, facilitate meetings and in regards to communication keep both internal and external stakeholders updated on the projects
In the matrix, you will contribute to the development of working methods and tools
We are looking for a goal-oriented team player with the communicative ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and engage people by creating a passion for objectives, plans and processes. When facilitating meetings you drive the agenda in a way that leads to decisions and conclusions. You have the ability to analyse, draw conclusions and to understand how decisions and processes impact the totality.
In the role of Project Controller we expect you to have:
Experience from leading or coordinating projects
Project management and leadership skills
An academic degree within Business Administration, Project Management, Economics or equivalent work experience
Knowledge from Microsoft Office and project management tools
Be fluent in English
