Job description

Position: Risk & Compliance Leader

Direct Report: Finance Manager.

Based On: IKEA Service Office Santiago, Chile.

Company: IKEA Chile, Colombia & Peru.

Assignment:

Ensure adequate risk management, with special focus on operational, real estate risks, process improvements, support for key projects and business continuity of IKEA Chile, Colombia & Peru.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain and revise policies and procedures for operation of the compliance program to prevent illegal, unethical or improper conduct ensuring the IKEA way process.
  • Coordinate audits to Ikea suppliers in order to check I-Way requirements.
  • Lead and ensure a correct the IKEA Code of Conduct (iConduct) implementation to providing guidance to management and employees.
  • Identify, evaluate, quantify and manage all risks in the business.
  • Lead risk presentations for the managers committee.
  • Incident analysis and keep updated risk incident data base.
  • Lead meetings with different areas to asses’ possible risks.
  • Support in the manage of normative risk and the determination of critic providers. 
  • Lead and work with risk management tools and risk management designs (RCSA, KRI´s, risk appetite, issues and action plans, processes, controls and risk matrix, scenario analysis, OpRisk lost data, along with others), presenting and communicating results to the Management for the risk management in the company.
  • Responds to alleged violation of rules, regulations, policies, procedures and standards of conduct by recommending the initiation of appropriate investigation procedures in partnership with Legal and Human Resources, as applicable. Ensures all allegations involving ethical issues are documented in a system in accordance with applicable protocols.
  • Monitors the effectiveness of the Compliance program and ensures changes are made to the program to adapt to changing business needs.
  • Responsible for ensuring the development and effective implementation of a compliance plan which includes, but is not limited to communication, training, auditing and monitoring and risk management.
  • Ensure effectiveness of AML policies, responding to requests made by internal/external stakeholders.

  • Experience in leading Compliance areas.
  • Experience in leading Risk areas.
  • Regulatory experience such as ISO 31.000, COSO, SOX, SOA, USGAAP, etc.
  • Experience in managing design solutions to our internal client's requirements.
  • Managing ERP for Risk Management.

Relevant work experience or educational background.

  • University Degree: Bachelor of Business, Accountant or relevant to the position.
  • Minimal of 2 years of working experience in Risk & Compliance.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken (exclusive requirement).
  • High teamwork capacity.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written).
  • Desirable knowledge in Office and Access.
