Position: Retail Equipment Specialist Chile, Colombia & Perú

Direct Report: Establishment Manager IKEA Chile, Colombia & Peru

Based In: IKEA Service Office Santiago, Chile

Assignment:

Responsible for planning, preparation, compilation, placement and execution of IKEA retail equipment orders during establishment of all new Customer meeting points and major re-buildings. Support commercial briefing and planning process with the specialist up-to-date knowledge of IKEA retail equipment offer. Work closely with retail project managers in time planning and coordinating build-ups. During fit-out and build-up physically oversee on site retail equipment deliveries, organize and supervise implementation. Keep regular contact with INGKA procurement and CBF retail equipment contacts securing up-to-date knowledge of retail equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support store design process, commercial briefing and planning process, fit-out and build-up preparations with the specialized detail IKEA retail equipment knowledge.
  • Keep regular contact with INGKA procurement and CBF retail equipment contacts securing up-to-date knowledge of retail equipment.
  • Responsible for project follow-up and feedback to INGKA procurement regarding retail equipment
  • Responsible to train and coach store planners for the proper use of IKEA retail equipment (especially regarding safe working practices and planning). To be physically present during commercial planning to check detail plans for safety implementation and planning accuracy. 
  • Time plan, compile and place in Order Tool all IKEA retail equipment orders during the whole duration of establishment process.
  • During fit-out and build-up physically oversee on site retail equipment deliveries, organize and supervise implementation.
  • Ensures together with PR&C and INGKA procurement of relevant range of retail equipment for Chile, Peru & Colombia
  • Provides support during commercial briefing process, informs local stakeholders in case of equipment range changes
  • Prepares and checks retail equipment orders for new CMPs (Customer Meeting Points) and major re-builds
  • Responsible for budgeting, detail ordering, delivering and installation timeline of retail equipment and co-ordinates it with main project timeline
  • Responsible to plan, prepare and check the installation of retail equipment in all CMPs on the market – on site 100% during fit-out and build-up processes

Core Experience, Competences and Skills:

Relevant work experience and knowledge

  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • Revit user
  • Microsoft Excel user (advance)
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
