Job description



Purpose of the job:
Leading and inspiring the team to optimize sales and profitability in the store using the knowledge of our range, local market, competition and my customers. Using the IKEA tools and expertise of the team and colleagues to support. This enables the IKEA mechanical sales system to work efficiently and ensures the continued success of the IKEA Concept. I actively work towards fulfilling the four tasks of the IKEA store:
to act as a highly efficient, and staffed, sales mechanism
to show home furnishing solutions full of inspiring home furnishing ideas
to serve as a well-qualified home furnishing specialist
to provide a day out for the whole family

Main assignments:
To create a strong and vital daily commercial drive on the sales floor in accordance with IKEA Retail Concept by combining a deep knowledge with strong passion for retailing and a real love of selling
To manage and lead the department by example as an inspiring leader
To contribute actively in the developing of the yearly Action plan and its execution
To convert strategic directions and business plan goals into clear store actions
To ensure guidance and training for Sales co-workers to secure a good competence development and to increase the retention rate in the store
To drive and develop Commercial Team cooperation within the store
Maintain a detailed knowledge of the local market and retail environment

Requirements:
IKEA retail managerial experience not less than 2 years, with proven leadership abilities (to proven ability to recruit, inspire and develop people in big teams)
Good level of written and oral English
Clear understanding of IKEA Business Idea, HR Idea and core values, and the ability to demonstrate such concepts with leading by example
Proven ability to meet tough deadlines and make things happen
Proven ability to coach others and share knowledge and learnings
Goal oriented and a high level of energy
Proven ability to develop trustful relations and build network
Proven strategic and analytical skills.
