Job description

Your Mission:

Maximize our Human Resources initiatives to realize our Vision, Business Idea, and Human Resource Idea to make IKEA the best retailer to work for.
Your Goals:

Support fiscal year sales goals through the effective recruitment and retention of sales and customer focused co-workers. In addition, plan/facilitate co-worker development programs that support the store's business plan objectives and global HR priorities.

Achieve staff cost P&L objectives through maintenance, analysis and administration of HR key performance indicators and proactive management of results.

Coach the store management team to meet or exceed a Voice result of 65%.

Ensure IKEA's position as the “Best retailer to work for” through the implementation of the total compensation philosophy, achievement of the parity goal and creating an environment where IKEA culture and values are a strong and living reality.

Together with the Store Steering Group, achieve yearly P&L goals by securing positive results in CSI, Market Capital, Voice, Commercial Review and Internal Audit.

Champion the personal and professional development of Co-workers through training, mentoring and succession planning programs

Monitor, adhere to and provide advice on policies and procedures including relevant laws and regulations and ensure compliance across all departments

Adhere to inventory control procedures

Contribute as a member of the Store Steering Group and lead the Human Resources team

Ensure all HR administrative systems are current, accurate and efficient

Provide effective Co-worker relations through problem solving, mediation, counseling, recognition, and two way communication

Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects as they occur
You Have:

Proven leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, strategic, analytical and tactical abilities

Strong mediation and counseling skills and an ability to share your knowledge and learning

Interest in home furnishings

Ability to acquire and analyze local market demographics, economic and labor market conditions

Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations

Reports to: Store Manager

Matrix: Human Resources Group, Service Office

Supervises: HR Generalist, HR Administrator

Success Profile

Highly developed networking skills and Computer literacy

3-5 years IKEA Human Resources generalist or IKEA management experience or 5-7 years Human Resources management experience, retail preferred
