As a Smaland/Info Co-worker and the first point of contact for our customers, you will be responsible for ensuring a great customer experience for our many visitors. You will do this by greeting and educating our visitors about how to shop at IKEA and by looking after and entertaining our little customers between the ages of 3 – 10 years old.
You will be expected to be responsible for greeting visitors to IKEA by providing friendly, effective and efficient responses/information to all customer enquiries as well as contribute to IKEA’s success by ensuring that you maintain an up to date knowledge concerning information about products, campaigns, advertisements, store trading hours, store layout and special offers. You will also help with daily operational effectiveness of IKEA by maintaining the levels of shopping tools, including trolleys, yellow bags, pencils and catalogues in the store and at the store entrance. Additionally you will secure that all products passing through the Entrance are paid for, be responsible for the care, wellbeing and entertainment of our customers’ children while they shop and be proactive in resolving, highlighting customer service issues for our customers and IKEA visitors.
OUR TEAM WITHIN IKEA
We like to make visiting IKEA fun for kids and easier for grown-ups. SMALAND is our supervised play area, located next to our store greeter. It's a haven of fun and enjoyment for kids who would rather play than shop. At IKEA, we are committed to excellence in child care and to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children. Your role will be to supervise children in the SMALAND play area and greet our many customers when they visit out store.
As our store operates 7 days per week, closing at 9pm every day, the successful applicant must have availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day, evening and weekend shifts.
This is a temporary 6 month position with 2 x 30 hour & 2 x 40 hour contracts available.
