Job description

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

You Have/Are: • Proactive and courteous customer approach • Ability to adjust your pace of work to meet the business needs throughout the day • Good communication skills • Willingness to share your knowledge and learning • Problem-solving skills • Interest in home furnishings • Computer aptitude • Ability to lift 50 lbs. (25 kg) and push several carts at once Your Workplace: • High volume, fast-paced retail environment • Work in all types of weather and conditions Your Availability & Work Week • Open availability in the week is preferred; at a minimum, however, you must meet one of the following: • Open availability to work both Saturdays and Sundays, and at least one (1) full weekday (Monday to Friday) • Open availability to work both Saturdays and Sundays, and at least two (2) weeknights (Monday to Friday closing shifts)

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

• Assist customers in loading merchandise into vehicles as efficiently as possible • Ensure that the loading zone remains clear • Maintain a balanced cart flow throughout the store/home delivery areas • Disassemble AS IS merchandise when required • Assist customers with bringing merchandise to be returned • Report inoperable equipment to managers • Maintain outside area, ensuring inventory is fully stocked • Work closely with the furniture pick up and warehouse staff to ensure the integrity of merchandise pulls • Use available resources to educate yourself on product features and customer interaction skills • Contribute to an environment where the IKEA Culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of coworkers and customers • Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects as they occur or as directed
