About the job

The Warehouse Manager, leader of a group of team leaders and contributing to the excellent performance of the DC, is expected to contribute to the availability and quality goals at lowest costs, at the same time adding value by providing solutions.

About your future responsibilities

As Warehouse Manager, you will be in charge of:
Ensuring and leading overall performance of the Logistics Operations:
  • Set the operational goals (short and midterm) and follow-up key performance indicators (KPIs) to achieve, to increase operational efficiency;
  • Build and drive action plans or local projects, with continuous improvement and excellence in mind (productivity, quality, cost optimization);
  • Lead and develop your team around the ongoing action plans, raise awareness on the results;
  • Secure the needs of resources (human and material) for the business to ensure the availability of products;
  • Focus on the requirements of the internal guidelines and rules on quality and safety, educate your co-workers on the standards, enforce and secure daily work procedures accordingly;
  • Contribute to the implementation of the "People and Culture" policy, in recruitment, training, development and, in general, people management in your department;
  • Develop Togetherness by working in synergy with other departments: maintenance, health / safety, HR, Operations Support, Management Control, Internal Communication;
  • Contribute actively to transversal projects impacting the overall performance of the Unit and the development of IKEA.

Team Management:
  • Federate your team around a strategy and common goals in order to maintain the performance culture and encourage their involvement ;
  • Assess individual performance of your Team Leaders and develop their skills with individual development plans shared with them;
  • Enable and drive the changes affecting the organization of your department to your team and involve them in the implementation of action plans.

About you
  • You have a full understanding of the supply chain process;
  • You have a succeeded experience of at least 5 years in a managerial position in a demanding industry and requiring high operational responsiveness, and / or in the management of logistics major projects;
  • You have a high sensitivity to the laws and regulations on health and safety, as well as the standards and regulations related to warehousing activities;
  • Recognized for your leadership, you motivate, build and develop a team spirit in a changing environment, requiring reactivity, adaptability, quality, customer orientation and performance culture;
  • You are able to communicate fluently in French and English, both written and spoken.
