IKEA Supply AG (ISAG) is the wholesale company within the Inter IKEA Group belonging to IKEA Supply, owning the goods in the IKEA Distribution and Regional Customer Distribution Centers world-wide. The mains functions located at ISAG are Transport & Logistics Services, Regional Supply Team Europe and Finance.
The Tax team at IKEA Supply AG (ISAG) is part of the Wholesale Finance organization and is responsible for the tax position of IKEA Supply AG and its subsidiaries. The areas of responsibility include tax advisory, management of tax risks, audit management, transfer pricing, ensuring compliance with tax laws, indirect tax and environmental reporting as well as supporting the Range & Supply core business with business development through providing technical expertise.
About the Job The Tax Manager leads business & people together in the Tax team in accordance with IKEA Values. The Tax Manager manages the indirect and direct tax position of ISAG and ensures that the company complies with relevant laws and regulations. The role ensures that professional support in the area of tax is provided to other operating units in Supply in connection to direct and indirect tax advisory, business development, transfer pricing and audit support services. As part of Finance Management Team, the Tax Manager contributes to the total development of the Finance organization at ISAG.
Your tasks further include:
Lead and develop business and people together in the ISAG Tax Team in accordance with IKEA culture and values.
Actively ensure up-to-date technical expertise in the area of indirect tax, direct tax and environmental reporting.
Secure efficient and controlled ways of working connected to tax accounting and reporting to ensure compliance and timely payments and refunds.
Ensure transfer pricing compliance for Core Business Range & Supply including timely reporting, compliance with Group Policies and compliance with relevant transfer pricing regulations and emerging trends.
Support Range & Supply entities with tax advisory and audit support services, including litigation or tax ruling requests.
Actively advise management on the tax position of ISAG and its subsidiaries and related developments.
Support business development via providing tax advice on business changes.
Engage and manage relationships with external advisors to complement internal know-how.
Educate and raise awareness in Core Business Range & Supply around taxation and its impact on the business.
Contribute to the total development of ISAG Finance as member of the Finance Management team.
To be successful in this role you need to have/be:
University degree in Finance or Tax or equivalent experience.
Strong demonstration of leadeship skills and a passion for leading and developing people.
10+ years of extensive experience in tax management for a large multinational company or a tax advisory role.
Knowledge and experience in application of transfer pricing guidelines and regulations in a large multinational environment.
Deep knowledge and experience in the area of tax law and its application.
Experience in managing tax audits, ruling negotiations and litigation.
Broad knowledge of supply chain operations in a complex multinational entity.
Ability to communicate fluently in English (spoken & written).
Keen interest in financial, tax and supply chain related topics.
Eager to work in a global environment and to accept and take advantage of diversity.
