Logistics Capcity Planning Business Analyst

About us

The Logistics Capacity planning team within the supply chain design and planning, is newly established function under Logistics development, IKEA Supply. Logistics Capacity Planning Team will ensure tactical horizon planning and future S&OP(Sales & Operations Planning) development to secure the base for operational execution as well as logistics cost optimization based on close follow up and proactive steering.

About the job

In this role you will secure the execution of the supplying strategy and process development initiatives of the purchasing and logistics capacity planning, monitoring, and act on deviations. By keeping the overview of action list that are identified with Logistics capacity planning network group and the management team, you will drive implementations together with the relevant stakeholders within IKEA Supply Chain. The job provides the opportunity for you to work with the end to end supply chain across various organizations globally. You will contribute to secure target availability at lowest possible Supply Chain costs. To optimize supply chain flows, cost, and capacities in a tactical horizon, we will utilize Supply Chain Guru Software.

Furthermore you will:

·    Ensure an accurate tactical planning revisions and future S&OP process in timely and efficient manner
·    Create the Models (e.g. with Supply Chain Guru), run optimization and simulation, do scenario analysis to best utilize the existing capacities for smooth operations and minimum costs
·    Proactively highlight improvement potentials together with Logistics capacity planning network in regards to better logistics capacity planning 
·    Establish and implement ways of working with network design and future network plans
·    Establish and lead optimization process; 1) support the monitoring/follow up process development that can compare actual trend and plan, 2) support steering/act on deviation process development, 3) secure executions once processes are established
·    Execute identified development initiatives through collaborations with the relevant stakeholders within the Supply Chain
·    Participate, lead, or support various development projects and case studies

About you

To be successful in this role you need to have:

·    Bachelor or Master’s degree in supply chain, or economics, or equivalent in working experience
·    3-5 years of working experience from Supply Chain (experience from various roles along the Supply Chain is a plus)
·    Advanced knowledge and competence in calculation methods, analytics, IT,reporting and planning tools are a big plus 
·    Good level of knowledge and experience in optimization & simulation tools, experience with Supply Chain Guru  (or capability to learn the new tool quickly)
·    Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken, knowledge of any other languages is an asset. You can also explain complex topics and systems in an understandable way to a wide stakeholder group 
·    Proven analytical skills and execution power, ability to understand different complex scenarios, and act proactively
·    Ability to work in cross functional and organizational teams, create mutual trust and understanding, influence and share knowledge
·    Ability to see the relation between details and the bigger picture and prioritize accordingly
