About us
IKEA Transport & Logistics Services organization is approximately 450 persons globally with purchase volume of 2.8 billion Euros, working in the category dimension of Land, Ocean and Logistics Services. We are responsible to plan, purchase, operate and follow up the service execution of transports and services. Securing the needed logistics services capacity at the right time, with the right quality, at the right cost and in a sustainable way to continuously contribute to the goal of having 100% satisfied IKEA customers. The position is a part of the Production Team of Category Land and focuses namely on: innovation in land transportation and multimodal transport solutions.

About the job
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated person to help us to be leaders in delivering excellent performance, proudly serving happy IKEA customers. Our team’s objective is to design and implement transport solutions and strategies with focus on total supply chain cost whilst fulfilling defined service levels related to capacity, operational excellence and sustainability.
As a Global Transport Production Developer within Transport Production you will lead and participate in strategic and tactical development initiatives and projects.
We are looking for an experienced candidate to support us with logistic challenges and identify, create, develop and integrate innovative solutions and programs that lead to improvements in our transportation network and support our digitalisation journey.
Within the area of Transport Production you support the development and implementation of transport solutions, working methods and facilitate best practice sharing to improve overall efficiency and to meet the growing demand for transportation capacity.
Within the area of Digitalisation and Innovation you develop initiatives to establish new innovative digital solutions, analyse, suggest and apply appropriate technology in order to increase efficiency of both internal processes and the ways we integrate with our service providers. You take the responsibility for the knowledge transfer and education packages and secure action plans and follow ups. You participate in development of tools/systems and understand performance metrics to create analysis allowing to drive future business results.
To be successful in this role you possess a deep knowledge, understanding and experience from the relevant developments within the transport industry.  You have a strong drive to develop and implement fact based concepts and deliver results. You are able to work in teams and break down global strategies to locally adjusted solutions and act as a role model for collaboration (both internally and externally – with our service providers), togetherness and change management.
In this role you will be member of the Category Land’s Transport Production Team and you will report to the Transport Production Manager, Category Land.

About you
• You have drive, desire and motivation to improve and look for better solutions and concepts
• You have experience in project management and change processes

• You possess a deep knowledge and understanding of the transport industry, both theoretical and practical
• You have a solid background in digitalisation and logistics technology advances, either through education and/or practical experience
• You have a university degree, or an equivalent education or practice, within transportation, logistics, supply chain or similar field
• You are fluent in English, both written and spoken
• You have demonstrated experience in performing analysis and managing data to solve business challenges, you have strong analytical skills and are process focused
• You want to take the challenge to lead global projects contributing to the continuous development of transport solutions and concepts
