Deputy Category Manager for Packaging & Handling material

Prague, Hlavní město Praha Purchasing & Sourcing Full Time

Job description

You will:

  • Lead our purchasing assignment within Packaging & Handling Materials on operational, tactical strategic level. Your responsibility will be the European, Russian and North American markets

  • Together with Category Manager secure that we create and as well execute our Business Plan

  • Establish & develop high performing and diverse supplier base which can meet the needs of our business and customer

  • Be responsible for development of wished position for our future supplier landscape including defining needs for new suppliers

  • Manage cost budgets and use resources in an optimal way to secure our business goals

  • Develop and maintain a close business relationship with key stakeholders

  • Responsible for recruitment, development, performance management, retention and succession plans for direct reports

  • Together with Category Manager drive the Leadership and Competence agenda


You should have/be:

  • Solid purchasing knowledge and good knowledge of the paper industry and market specifics conditions and macroeconomics trends

  • Working in a leading position, including previous management experience

  • Proven record of developing people and organisations

  • Proven experience in working with supplier development/business development

  • Ability to combine working on a strategic level while acting on an operational/tactical level.

  • Creating and implementing long-term strategic plans, action plans, setting budgets, providing clear directions and following up on goals
