IKEA Purchasing Services (Czech Republic) spol. s r. o. is a purchasing organization which cooperates with furniture and home furnishing manufacturers located in Europe on producing furniture with perfect design and quality for many people, and which ensures distribution into retail stores IKEA worldwide. We are a team of about 150 co-workers of over 20 nationalities.


Job description

You will be part of the finance team and you will close cooperate with the chief accountant. Your role will be to provide financial information and to ensure accounting, tax and other statutory compliance to local rule and regulation.

You will be mainly responsible for:

  • accounting and reporting in accordance with local regulations
  • cooperation on financial audits and controls performed by state institutions
  • processing of VAT tax returns, cooperation on calculation of income tax, road tax
  • the timely and accurate preparation of monthly accounts for the chief accountant
  • posting and monitoring of liabilities and receivables, creation of accruals
  • posting of bank statements, payment proposals preparations
  • travel management - care about travel expenses calculations, CITI Cards management
  • assets management – care about tangible and intangible assets, depreciations, inventory

Qualification

You will be successful in this role if:

  • you have min. 2-3 years of experience in accounting, knowledge of Czech accounting and tax legislation
  • you speak the local language and you have a communicative level of English - needed for everyday cooperation!
  • you are advanced user of MS Office - especially MS Excel
  • you have analytical thinking and can make logical conclusions
  • you have orientation to detail and ability to deal with routine
  • you are striving for continuous improvement and simplification of processes
  • you are able to initiate change and have ability to self-motivate
  • you have ability to work in a team, but also independently
