About the job

We want to fill this position with a business minded and proactive enthusiast with a strong passion for Safety & Security and developing people, who can support us in securing our vision of creating a better everyday life for many people in Southeast Asia by ensuring our shopping centres in the region provide a safe environment for visitors and co-workers.

Your assignment

  • Assist the Retail Risk Manager with the development and implementation of a systematic Safety and Security approach/framework for our Shopping Centres in the region
  • Develop safety & security processes that are specific to the shopping centre business (fit-out of new tenants, leasing)
  • Be the main point of contact for our SC safety & security teams and support them on a day to day basis
  • Work with the shopping centre organization to increase their awareness and take responsibility for implementing the IKEA safety and security standards.
  • Verify that safety and security routines are in place and are adhered to in our existing SC but also when opening new units
  • Support units addressing gaps identified during insurance surveys, Sec Checks reviews and other audits and monitor progress against action plans
  • support the development of new ways of working, with a focus on simplicity.
  • Responsible for the development, implementation and follow-up of operational Safety & Security standards at all Shopping Centre units in the region.

Qualification
  • With at least 6-8 years in Safety & Security function, ideally with Shopping Centre experiences managing teams (past regional role an asset
  • You have the ability to lead people, translate direction and strategy into execution.
  • You can drive implementation with strong resilience, good communication and interpersonal skills. Have a record of accomplishment in setting up complete Safety & Security frameworks, and drive changes in complex environments.
  • Experience in leading change and ability to engage, influence and convince stakeholders at all levels in the organization. 
  • Sound knowledge in occupational health and safety; technical life safety and security systems; building and fire codes
