We have a current vacancy for an experienced facilities professional who takes pride in contributing to exceptional building operations and presentation standards.

A person who can support us in securing “Our Meeting Places” approach in offering fantastic customer experiences, convenient shopping, and a great day out for families and friends by ensuring we operate in accordance with the internal steering documents, regulatory requirements, and business requirements to strengthen the Centre's position as the preferred Shopping Centre in our local market.

Your assignment

  • Contribute to our business’ success by ensuring a safe and energy-saving environment and support for the Centre’s sustainable business development and operational excellence.
  • Ensure the compliance of all legal requirements, local authority requirements, and Ikano Group standard rules and regulations are adhered to.
  • Develop long and short term preventative maintenance of all MEP facilities. This includes a strong monitoring regime of condition-based maintenance to schedule planned repairs and timely part replacements to ensure the smooth functioning of the plant, equipment, and all installations.
  • Conduct or coordinate relevant compliance monitoring activities (audits, reviews, continuous assessment,) and establish new metrics, trend reports,
  • Support the Functional Manager (i) in identifying improvement potentials in existing business processes and SOPs to achieve a high level of transactional compliance and (ii) in defining, for new products or processes, as well as Extraordinary Operational Procedures that embed the compliance requirements.
  • Assisting Facilities Manager in budgetary control and analysis for operating expenses
  • Investigate and take corrective actions to overcome technical problems. Develop and implement solutions, troubleshoot on day to day operational problems of facilities and building.
  • Able to prepare monthly KPI reports, month analysis reports, and documentation for the tender process.
  • Liaise with the Utility provider, local authority and other regulatory on utility services and compliance issues.
  • Be able to demonstrate strong collaboration and teamwork within the team and other departments within the Centre management office
  • Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Facilities Management Manager


Qualification

Your Profile

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience in facilities management/maintenance management/ building operations maintenance.
  • Possess a valid Degree in engineering (preferably in Electrical) issued by local/abroad college or universities approve under Education Ministry or equivalent relevant trade.
  • Registered with the Board of Engineer Malaysia (BEM).
  • Hands-on knowledge in handling all technical aspects of building and facilities.
  • Certificate as a competent person as wireman PW4 (or higher) issued by Malaysia Energy Commission will be advantageous.
  • Hands-on knowledge in handling all technical aspects of building and facilities.
  • Well versed in all local laws governing the building management
  • Good communication (written and verbal communication) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and drive own initiatives till completion while applying a collaborative approach
  • Ability to work together in a team and open to change/highly flexible. Ability to make quick decisions and take personal initiatives.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
