What you'll be doing day to day

As a Safety & Security Manager, managing and maintaining risk awareness at our Distribution / Customer Fulfillment Center, you will:

Ensure a healthy, safe, and secure work environment, through performing safety audits, coaching, and conducting internal investigations.

Implement effective standardized safety and security programs (including co-worker training) in location in order to protect IKEA’s co-workers, visitors and assets from preventable loss, injury, or illness.

Ensure compliance with Safety and Health Program to reduce Workers' Compensation costs through accident reduction and effective claims management

Establish annual Safety Action Plans, identifying the risk within location

Drive risk awareness, ensure risk handling is done in a consistent manner.

Contribute to an environment where IKEA culture is a strong and embraces the diversity of co-workers and customers

The salary pay range for this role is $69913 to $101,717

QUALIFICATIONS

3 to 5 years of leadership and Safety & Security experience

Knowledge of National Safety and Security Legal requirements, Worker's Compensation/claims management, and Ergonomics in a distribution or warehouse environment.

CPR/First Aid Certification (training provided)

Auditing experience

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Requirements

Ability to lift, sit, stand, and walk for length of shift

Ability to lift up to 50lbs
