Job description

Customer Service

  • To acknowledge the customer when they approach the check-out, greet them with a smile and eye contact. 
  • To use the customer bar, ask the customer to keep the heavy items on the trolley  
  • To acknowledge the customer when they approach the check-out, greet them with a smile and eye contact 
  • To explain to the customer the return policy if they buy AS-IS" or display items.
  • To remind every customer before the end of the transaction  about the IKEA card & explain the advantages of the IKC 
  • To follow the rules and regulations relating to the credit card. Not to look while the customers are inserting the secret code.

Technical

  • To quickly solve the problems that can occur while processing a transaction. 
  • To hand over the cash box to the Group Leader Cashier or the duty manager after the store close.  
  • To address all the keying mistakes to the Group Leader Cashier in writing after the close of the store 
  • To ensure no credit invoice to be made without LPO and approval of the Finance/Duty Manager. 
  • To hand over the cash and other documents with reconciliation to the Group Leader Cashier & to check and update all work equipments before the start of the day’s work.  

General: 

  • To carry out any other jobs assigned by the Service Operations Manager or Group Leaders 

Qualification

Education: Bachelor of Commerce /Diploma in Finance or any related discipline 

Experience:
2 years experience as a Cashier 

Core Competencies:

  • Fluent in English  & Arabic (advantage)
  • Excellent Communication & interpersonal Skills
  • Good numerical ability (mathematical skill)
  • High attention to details
  • Be a team player
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of operating Point of sale Equipment
  • Attendance & Punctuality
