Ikano Group has already carried out market and distribution studies relating to the establishment of IKEA stores in Mexico. Inter IKEA Systems B.V. (the owner of the IKEA Concept and worldwide IKEA franchisor) has allocated the market of Mexico to us.
We have an office in Mexico City since April 2017 and are determined to bring a little bit of Sweden to Mexico.
The Systems and Network Administrator is responsible for the upkeep of the IKEA Mexico server infrastructure and the network infrastructure ensuring that the security of the systems are impenetrable from external hacking and client information exposure. To this end, the administrator will be responsible for the uptime of the server, network infrastructure and all devices (PC, Laptops, Printers, etc.) attached to the system. The administrator is responsible for ensuring that all system firmware updates are up-to-date.
More specifically, you will:
Configure, Deploy and Maintain all store servers and drive arrays.
Configure, Deploy and Maintain all core switches, edge switches, firewalls, routers and DSUs.
Ensure the connectivity to all external sites, including the IKEA network critical to daily operations.
Install and configure all server operating system, databases (SQL) and applications.
Ensure that systems including user rights, profiles and administration are assigned appropriately to ensure data integrity.
Maintain associated equipment and device policies to ensure a standard operating environment which is secure (this extends to all devices on the network and includes PCs, tills and laptops).
Ensure that the servers maintain a high level of availability.
Work with the Country IT team to implement and maintain IT disaster recovery program and day-to-day backup execution and maintenance.
Work with the Navision Administrator to ensure the uptime of all SQL databases and that replication jobs have been configured and operational.
Ensure that POS equipment, Navision clients and external sites communicate efficiently and securely to SQL server.
Job Specific Knowledge
Working knowledge of MS Windows 2012 server, SQL server, Exchange Server.
Strong knowledge of VMware and virtualized environments.
Working knowledge of Cisco and HP networking and configuration, VLAN configuration through core and edge switches.
Working knowledge of the IKEA systems and how to deliver IKEA based applications thought the IKEA network to all users within the organization.
Working knowledge of IT group policies, information security, firewalls and how to ensure data integrity.
Working knowledge of how to deploy a WiFi infrastructure.
Understanding of how to execute the company DR plan.
Qualifications and 6 years working experience in a similar environment.
Ability to solve problems and new ways of working by identifying solutions.
Self-reliant with a proven ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
Good knowledge of MS SQL server, MS Server 2012, Exchange Server, cloud computing and IoT.
Experience in fast paced multi-user ERP/POS.
Strong skill set with MS Office Suite, MS CRM and MS Sharepoint servers.
Ability to apply and take personal initiatives.
Strong communication skills with external vendors and internal customers.
Self-confident and comfortable with making decisions in relation to IT inquiries.
