The IKEA vision is to create a better everyday life for the many people. We do this by offering a wide range of well-designed, functional home furnishing products at prices so low that as many people as possible can afford them.
We are determined to bring a little bit of Sweden to Mexico.
The areas of responsibility are the IKEA Restaurant sales areas, guest areas (including the co-worker restaurant), dish washing facility and IKEA Cafés (where applicable). I work together with my team and other colleagues in the IKEA Food management team from where I lead and manage my area to fulfil the purpose of our function by building business and people together. I strive to make people smile while providing irresistible food offers in a welcoming atmosphere that gives our guests a good reason to return again and again.
I work together with the Kitchen Production Manager in operating my area according to the IKEA Quality and Food Safety requirements, as well as other relevant legislation.
I always look at my store through the eyes of our customers, spend most of my working time in the restaurant guest area and walk the store regularly. I have a daily dialogue with our guests to get continuous feedback about their experiences and to learn more about their needs and wants.
I implement the range matrix (global and national) in co-operation with the Kitchen Production Manager to secure a strong IKEA Food range identity in order to distinguish ourselves from our competitors on the market.
I co-operate with the Communication & Interior Design (Com&In) department and the Commercial Activity Leader by actively contributing to and supporting all marketing and in-store activities. I do this by integrating the Swedish celebrations and yearly focus area into the store’s Commercial Calendar, including the activity range and communication packages.
Together with the Kitchen Production Manager, I plan and implement range changes in a simple and cost-conscious way. I ensure all co-workers taste and learn about new products before they are launched.
In co-operation with the Kitchen Production Manager, I ensure that the food displays are always fresh and look appealing.
I ensure that my team and I know our top-selling products, 3 Aces and 1 King, and that they are always available and clearly communicated and displayed.
I secure that the commercial areas are always in shape as new.
I empower and encourage my team to take immediate action to meet the needs of guests and give input on how to continuously improve our meeting with them.
