Ikano Group has already carried out market and distribution studies relating to the establishment of IKEA stores in Mexico. Inter IKEA Systems B.V. (the owner of the IKEA Concept and worldwide IKEA franchisor) has allocated the market of Mexico to us.
We have an office in Mexico City since April 2017 and are determined to bring a little bit of Sweden to Mexico.
ABOUT THE JOB
Reporting to the Regional Retail Logistics Manager, you will be responsible to organise and manage the activities and time plans in line with the goal of establishing a fully functioning Customer Distribution Centre. This role has the possibility to become IKEA contact on site to the external DC vendor when our stores are operational.
Organising the Project Team
Ensuring the rules of Project Management such as quality compliance, time Schedule deadlines, within approved IR budget frame are in focus
Formulate the detailed activities and time plans
Promoting and demonstrating IKEA culture and values by creating an environment where IKEA culture is a strong and living reality
Secure, develop, communicate, explain and follow-up of strategy, business plan and relevant actions
Provide information on development plans and results
Ensure the CDC operations are fully functional and efficiently managed. (Reduce cost, improve productivity ) within given frame
Safeguard/develop the most efficient logistics solutions in the building together with the external vender and the retail logistics department
Thorough understanding of the Project Management processes
3-5 years working experience in managerial function (preferably in warehouse operations)
Possess strong operations background and knowledge about the Supply Chain and warehouse Logistics
Prior contract management experience will be an added advantage
Proven leadership skills with good ability to communicate, inspire and motivate co-workers
Good analytical skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trustful relations and commitments
The ability to get things done and to realize goals, with the desire to question current ways of working and to strive for quick, lean and simple solutions
Ability to implement structural way of working
Being an ambassador for IKEA culture and values both internally and externally
Fluent in English and Spanish
