I work together with my team as well as my colleagues in the IKEA Food management team from where I lead and manage the IKEA Swedish Food Market and IKEA Bistro to fulfil the purpose of our function by building business and people together. I ensure we contribute to creating a positive final impression for store visitors that both enhances Swedishness and gives them an appealing welcome back offer.
I ensure that the operations of all IKEA Food areas in the IKEA Store operate in accordance with IKEA Quality and Food Safety requirements and other relevant legislation.I promote a “safety first” culture where co-workers are encouraged to raise and discuss concerns and solutions. I also co-operate with external service providers and
I ensure daily work routines are in place, e.g. goods flow, stock control, purchasing, ordering, production and waste management.
I co-operate with the Communication & Interior Design (Com&In) department and the Commercial Activity Leader by actively contributing to and supporting all marketing and in-store activities. I do this by integrating the Swedish celebrations and yearly focus area into the store’s Commercial Calendar, including the activity range and communication packages.
I ensure that my team and I know our top-selling products, 3 Aces and 1 King, and that they are always available and clearly communicated and displayed. We promote alternative products when these are unavailable.
I ensure vitality and Swedishness in the Swedish Food Market by working actively with activity areas, active sampling, combination offers and other activities that inspire and surprise our customers through engagement, learning and participation.
I secure that the Swedish Food Market range is attractively presented and communicated, e.g. through story-telling, recipe cards, using the IKEA Restaurant & Café as a showroom and co-operating with Com&In.
I take actions to promote cross merchandising of Swedish food products in the Market hall and of Market hall products in the SFM.
I have relevant knowledge of the competition on my market. I use this information to initiate immediate action as needed, e.g. secure a substantial price distance.
At least 5 years of successful experience in food retailing/service and/or retailing
Experience of managing/leading and developing a team.
Experience of creating and executing action plans.
Experience of serving guests.
English communication skills.
MS Office literate.
Understand KPIs and how to affect their results through departmental actions.
A leader with the potential to become a store department manager, e.g. IKEA Food Manager, Sales Manager, Customer Relations Manager or take the next step on her/his career path.
Ability to organise, plan and prioritise.
Advanced knowledge of Food Production, Food Safety and HACCP
