Sales Co-Worker - Active Selling Team

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

We are looking for co-workers with a passion for actively delivering outstanding customer service. You are an advocate for our customers and you focus on ensuring everyone has a pleasurable and memorable shopping experience. You will be passionate about the products you sell and actively learning about their features and benefits. You are confident in your ability and actively approach customers and are able to advise them on the best solutions for their homes in order to sell more. Your personal values will reflect our IKEA values and you have a real passion for home furnishing. The successful applicant will be inclined to develop a comprehensive understanding of the team’s action plans and support the goals and targets set by the manager. An ability to demonstrate a track record of personal one to one selling and meeting targets will also be highly regarded. You will need to be computer literate and comfortable using a computer daily in this role.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

This role is highly involved in the day to day operation of the sales floor and ensuring the highest standard of customer service and a consistent shopping experience for our customers. It involves consistent one-on-one and team coaching on active selling techniques and maximising sales opportunities with the Team Leader. Whilst contributing to team goals, Active Selling Team Co-Workers must also have the ability to work independently and take initiative. This team is also tasked with driving IKEA Family sign up rates, and managing IKEA Business accounts, which requires exceptional relationship and rapport building skills. The role is not restricted to one department and co-workers will be actively selling throughout the store to effectively sell home furnishing solutions to the customer and drive repeat visitation. This requires developing an understanding of the wider range of IKEA products and the adaptability to perform in various product areas.

ABOUT THIS WORK AREA

As our store trades 7 days a week you are required to work a mix of day, evening and weekend shifts, as well as 3 out of 4 weekends every month. Multiple permanent part-time positions, with varying contract sizes, are available.
