The first IKEA store in Metro Manila, Philippines, located in Pasay City will open by 4th quarter 2020 and we are now hiring the first Group of Leaders. It is required for the successful candidates to attend adequate job trainings outside of Philippines for a reasonable time.
About the job
The Safety & Security Manager will work closely together with various departments and all management level throughout the organization to:
Ensure a safe and secure environment for our customers, co-workers and visitors
Strengthen the IKEA brand and protect our assets.
Maintain an overall risk aware and control culture
Maintain compliance with internal IKEA and external legal demands.
To work together with the Expansion & Establishment and Retail Risk Managers to: (i) support the adaption of local and national requirements to meet IKEA’s safety & security intended level of protection; (ii)identify local or country specific safety & security hazards and incorporate preventive and protective measures and programs for these; (iii) ensure the security operation and systems are developed, designed and installed to meet the risk level in Philippines and IKEA requirements
To ensure that IKEA store is always a safe and secure environment for visitors and co-workers. In addition, to ensure that IKEA store are compliant with the IKEA Group Safety & Security Manual and with local regulations.
To Secure incidents are properly reported, analysed and followed up and identify good solutions and ideas for improving. Constantly updating Store Management, Service Office matrix partner and regional matrix peers on changes in safety and security practices and sharing of best practices.
To prevent all types of accidents, crime and fraud in the stores and carry out and follow up investigation. Conduct regular trainings to increase awareness of safety and security in all co-workers, as well as ethical behavior.
To take responsibilities to liaise with the local authorities and organizations as a representative of the Company.
To participate actively in the store’s Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Committee.
Co-ordinate with the unit Emergency Response Team and management for the handling of any emergency cases and provide appropriate action according to the store Emergency Management Plan.
A degree holder in Occupational Health & Safety or relevant discipline is mandatory.
Proven leadership capabilities. Demonstrated capacity to lead a team, while providing guidance, support & direction to all areas of the business within the area of your portfolio.
Experience developing security concepts
Have experience in safety & security work in a retail store is an advantage.
Have experience from a working in a high-risk environment.
A good communicator and have ability and passion in conducting training/share knowledge with a large groups of co-workers.
Have high personal integrity and values as this role require involvement in fraud investigations, etc.
