Strategic Planning Specialist

To succeed as a Strategic Planning Specialist you would prefferable have: • Experience in leading various planning processes related to communication and strategic planning in business development. • Approximately 3-5 years communication or marketing experience. • Preferably a university degree or similar in relevant area (e.g. marketing and/or communication).


As a Strategic Planning Specialist you lead the strategic planning process for Group Communication, and you will be a key driver in developing our global communication planning process, where you work closely with other functions and IKEA organisations. You will be responsible for the integrated Communication calendar for the Group Communication matrix including regular updates, further development (tools) etc. You will also lead the process for the development of the Group Communication functional plan, together with the Strategic Planning manager. Other assignments in this role can also be: • Align with key corporate and commercial communication-related areas, including Public Affairs, sustainability and HR, to present a holistic perspective during the global communication planning process. • Responsible for the annual planning process for the Group Communication department • Identify and implement research needs for the Group Communication department, including contributing to KPIs and goal setting, working closely with the Marketing Strategic Planning and Insights team. • Support and contribute to the development of the matrix with strategic coordination and specific initiatives • Alignment with other IKEA organisations on related planning and research needs This is a temporary contract of 6 months due to parental leave with potential start date January 2020 and will be located in Malmö, Sweden.
