To be successful in this role, we believe you have:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a software, data or infrastructure engineer or equivalent working in agile and iterative teams.
-Formal qualifications in computer science or any engineering equivalent.
-Broad knowledge of software engineering practices using industry standard toolsets.
-Good knowledge of the specific or similar tech stack for the selected products (Power Bi, Big Query, web applications, Contact Centre solutions etc).
-Good knowledge of design and architecture concepts (i.e., microservices, event driven, API first).
-Broad knowledge of the assigned technology of the area and related Products or Services -Good knowledge of working in agile/iterative software development teams and with agile development practices.
-Experiences in software engineering best practices, tools, and methods (e.g., TDD, CI/CD, GIT).
-Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

You have preferred knowledge of:
-IKEA Brand, culture, values, and IKEA Customer Support Centre ways of working.
-Data modelling for various purposes (e.g., data lakes, OLTP, machine learning).
-Experience in building data pipelines to collect, transform, and load data from various sources (e.g., REST, Kafka, and various databases) into data lakes and/or databases

We believe that you are motivated by:
-Continuously developing and enhancing programming skills and staying at the frontier of modern tools and technologies (Typescript, React, NodeJS and Java script, Python, Terraform, GitHub, OAS tools, GCP, Docker, Unit tests for both UI and code etc.
-Working both independently and in cross-functional teams and working in agile/iterative software development teams, with agile development practices.

-Willingness to actively acquire new knowledge and skills and leverage new methods, digital systems, and processes to improve performance. Ability to change direction as appropriate based on new ideas, approaches, and strategies, with senior guidance. Communicate technical concepts and processes clearly at an appropriate level to team members, stakeholders, and suppliers. Collaborate with others (including virtual) and understand the complexity of IKEA business and the role of technology as an integrated part of the business.

Your responsibilities

'-You will develop and deliver high quality digital services and products to support consumers across Ingka and Customer Support Centre’s (CSC) to be more efficient and reach the many people.
-Drive modern software engineering principles, utilization of proper tools and increase of automation to enable the specified business outcomes and create a strong digital foundation for IKEAs Digital products and business.
-Develop, run, and maintain high-quality code of the assigned Products and Services using the right toolsets required to meet consumer expectations on the delivery.
-Develop high-quality software design and architecture in accordance with good practices and agreed standards, such as Ingka Software Security Directives, to ensure delivery according to requirements and compliance.
-Apply and promote good software engineering practices, including continuous integration and delivery, within an agile/iterative development approach to improve time to market and fulfill business needs.
-Drive change activities in different environments to secure functionality and availability.
-Deliver tests, performance analysis, configuration management and creation of functional/feature specifications to improve the Product/Service delivery.
-Continuously explore and evaluate new technologies to boost innovation and productivity for optimization/modifications to the current design and development productivity.
-Provide support and guidance as needed to consumers and other engineers encouraging good practices.
-Develop different engineering patterns for different types of Products and Services by working across initiatives within Ingka Group.
-Build a technology service that is cost-effective and robust with respect to architectural conditions, minimizing unintended errors and down time, and ensuring a resilient technological foundation.
-Synchronize Product/Service design and technical roadmaps by aligning key stakeholders within Ingka with interdependencies towards Group Digital to ensure aligned outcomes.
-Provide support and guidance as needed to other engineers encouraging good practice.
-Work in agile teams across areas, contributing to the development and maintenance of Products and Services.
