Project Leader Food Experience – Group Expansion

As our new Project Leader we see you as a person with strong leadership capabilities and experience of leading people and teams in large projects, retail business or similar operation, who can drive, execute and lead multilayered projects. You have knowledge in: • Documented experience leading projects both outside and within food retailing. • You have extensive experience in one or more of these retailing environments; quick service restaurants, chain restaurants or hospitality in an international environment (do you want to specify, such “fast food etc”) Please feel free to rephrase in order to be more precise. • Strong Project management competence • How to take advantage of digital technology as an enabler in a multichannel retail landscape • How to create and implement change initiatives and manage stakeholders • Fluent in English both written and spoken • Excellent business knowledge and mindset • Knowledge/interest of market & global trends • Knowledge of processes in area of responsibility To be successful in this role you have proven advance training in Project Leadership, Retail Layout or equivalent and minimum 5 years’ experience of developing businesses, delivering results and leading retail and other projects successfully. We also like you to have a minimum of 2 years’ experience leading and influencing both teams and business leaders and you are skilled working in a multicultural environment. As a person you are a relationship builder who builds trust through strong interpersonal skills in order to create long-term relationships and influence throughout the organizations. Moreover, you identify and capture process and business opportunities and deliver results through involving and engaging people. The ability to prioritize and make decisions with speed and simplicity comes natural to you. You also have an ability to take a holistic view of a global organization and to identify business opportunities accordingly.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Job #6 is a part of the 10 jobs in 3 years retail direction focusing on store IKEA store of the future. The project has as scope to re- imagine and build the store of the future in an existing store. In the role as Project Leader you will be driving the Food Experience innovation initiative which is one of the 6 pillars in job #6, store of the future. Your role will be to lead the New Food Experience pillar in alignment within Ingka Food organizations and also across the IKEA world as well other jobs such job#5. You represent and lead & contribute to the smooth running of the project, supporting the project operation and deliverables. You work as a team member of the project group to provide an accurate and efficient administrative support. Together with the project team you will support the delivery of the store of the future by working within the frame of the transformation and people principles. You will: • Be responsible to lead people through change, and contribute to building a more unique, inclusive and accessible IKEA - guided by the People and Planet Positive commitments • Take a leading role in working across functions within Ingka Group and collaborate with other IKEA units to help creating world class IKEA Stores • Be accountable for assignments within scope, time and cost frame, applying relevant project management methods and tools • Responsible to communicate, plan and distribute relevant information as well as map and manage stakeholders by identifying, planning and following up • Coordinate dependencies and interfaces within the assignment and project • Identify, mitigate and manage risks • Take lead in driving an open and sharing climate, being a role model of the IKEA values • take lead in working across functions within Ingka Group and collaborate with other IKEA units • take lead in driving an open and sharing climate, being a role model of the IKEA values • Ensure that the expected results are reached within the given time frame, budget, with the resources allocated and leading the project members. • be responsible for planning gate meetings and stakeholder meetings and in relation to them take appropriate actions to facilitate decision making • Responsible for aligning the project with other ongoing projects and activities, as well as the job#6 timeline. • Be responsible to plan and lead designated project(s), including project management, change management and leading people working within the project. You will be a part of the Customer Meeting Point Development, in Group Expansion. This is a temporary assignment running until the end of FY21. In your role you will report to Customer Meeting Point Development Leader Cem Aykol.
