In the common customer facing solutions domain at Inter IKEA we develop our products using agile software development methods and DevOps principles to improve the quality and to faster release value to the retailers. The Framework IKEA.com product portfolio aims to help and enable the retailers to operate within the frame of the franchise agreements and the core products are design system, conceptual hub, IKEA.com global, SEO & domain as well as the knowledge graph.
We are now looking for 1 or 2 students to run their master thesis at Inter IKEA from January to June 2023.
The thesis work involves the optimization of safeguarding the brand and brand development as a franchisor.
Understand and describe omnichannel retailing of today as a multi-stage process: Retailers progress through a co-herent customer experience across all channels, the link between online shopping, personalized shopping experiences and the physical stores but with focus on the stage on brand positioning.
Observe relevant number of fast-growing companies aswell as strong brands companies in SEM strategy, marketing content, commercial content, CRM tools and AI, API-led connectivity
Describe a strategic process of reaching and setting a balance in the customer meeting with product range, marketing/campaign/sales steering, and brand story (or other observed categories).
Literature review and research on how to approach brand positioning with SEM strategy, marketing content, commercial content, CRM tools and AI, API-led connectivity
Propose an algorithm for brand positioning from a technical aspect, implementation, and experimentation with real data.
Analysis on how it will change and develop during the five upcoming years from a technical perspective.
You have a strong interest in omnichannel retail and brand positioning. You are analytical and have an eye for processes, are tech savvy, have followed MarComm, marketing automation and relevant tools and techniques such as SEM, CRM, and API-led connectivity in the last years. You probably study business management, digital marketing, brand management or a similar area of discipline.

To take part of the Thesis work, you have to be enrolled in a thesis course provided at university level/Thesis agreement with a university in Sweden.
