Communication Business Partner, Sustainability

You are an experienced professional having worked at least 5 years in corporate communications and you don’t shy away from complex topics. With solid experience across a wide range of internal and external communication disciplines, you are passionate about sustainable business and the opportunities for using communication to drive business results. You will either have existing sustainability communication experience, or strong innovation communication experience, coupled with personal interest in sustainable business. You build strong and meaningful interpersonal relationships and you feel comfortable with defining, planning, executing and following up of all communication to relevant stakeholders whilst keeping our customers and co-workers’ needs at heart. You thrive on the complexity of driving change in a global organisation, helping to create professional engagement in the retail organisation as well as between retail professionals and business across the globe. You are a team player and find energy and results in collaboration. Last but certainly not least, you embody the IKEA values and are not afraid to find your way and test and learn in changing times. In the assignment you will also be given the fantastic opportunity to support some sustainability related initiative due to Ingka Groups over all innovation strategy of “10 jobs in 3 years”. This role is a 2 years temporary assignment/contract and will be located in Malmö, Sweden.


In your role as Communication Business Partner for Sustainability you will: • contribute to driving business outcomes in alignment with the Group Function business plan • explore new ways to communicate the specifics of the “10 jobs in three years” initiatives in relations to Sustainability making it accessible for a larger target audience • be a strategic communication sparring partner (and coach) to Group Sustainability and the management team • help to promote and encourage new ways of working within the Group function and the matrix organisation across Ingka • focus on further developing engagement within Sustainability’s community and reviewing and implementing a new communication channel landscape • contribute to or lead communication initiatives for the Sustainability area as a whole, together with the Sustainability Communication Business Partner Team • Working together with other communication experts in Group Communication, enable us to use the proof points and stories from our ambitious sustainability initiatives to demonstrate our purpose and leadership
