ABOUT YOU As a person you are passionate about communication, change management and retail business. You believe communications should act as a business enabler and have knowledge on relevant subject matters of our Retail business. You also have a passion for our IKEA offer and home furnishing. You understand the complexity of IKEA business and the role of communication as an integrated part of the business. You have experience from working in our Retail Markets with Communications or Marketing and would like to broaden your experience by working with strategic communications assignments for our total Retail business. You enjoy working in an ever changing environment and use communications to lead in change. You appreciate the mix of strategic thinking and turning communication theory into practice and have a proactive attitude in problem solving and hands-on approach when necessary.
You have deep knowledge of how to lead communication by defining, planning, executing and follow-up communication to relevant stakeholders, always keeping co-workers informed, engaged and empowered. You have an excellent understanding of using insights to formulate communication activities to drive IKEA business and meet receiver needs. You have the ability to communicate verbally, visually and in writing in an inspirational way with IKEA tone of voice.
For this role we believe you have a minimum of 7 years of both external and internal communication experience and feel comfortable to support and influence senior business leaders and colleagues with the business goals and co-workers in focus. You demonstrate IKEA leadership skills, by using sound judgements to make timely and effective decisions and you have a passion for leading, inspiring and developing people.
ABOUT THE JOB In your role as Communication Business Partner for Retail Operations you will develop better business results and enable transformation and growth of the IKEA business through world class communication. You will lead effective communication both internally and externally and secure the communication process by defining, planning, executing and following up communication to relevant stakeholders. You will drive an open and sharing climate, being a role model of the IKEA values where our co-workers are informed, engaged and empowered. In this role you will report to Susanne Glingestam, Communication Business Manager Retail Operations.
Areas of responsibility:
Be a communication expert within assigned business segment and a direct contact and support for communication needs and advice on effective choices within specific function group
Alongside other communicators, define organizational communication needs and develop and implement a roadmap that secures the contribution of communication to drive the business outcomes in the function group
Develop alongside other communicators and tap into wider resources, i.e. co-worker communication, social/digital, PR, stakeholder engagement, campaigns etc.
Explore, develop and lead communication initiatives that will position the function in its respective eco-system and contribute to driving the desired business outcomes in alignment with the business plan
Be a coach and sparring partner to top executives
Work across function within INGKA Group and in good collaboration with other IKEA businesses
