Job description


You are a senior leader and your experience comes from an international business environment with experience in the different segments. You have a proven record in creating business results and working on a strategic level, and the ability to translate long-term priorities into clearly defined business objectives. We’re looking for a candidate with: - Minimum of 5-7 years management experience - A university degree in business administration, engineering or corresponding - Fluency in spoken and written English - Willing to travel - Stakeholder and supplier management experience Your strong drive and fact-based business leadership capabilities supports you making the right decisions. You have an eagerness to build trust and partnership with suppliers, stakeholders, your team and within Ingka Procurement. You lead business with a holistic view, always acting with the Customer, Supplier, and total IKEA in mind. As a Category Manager you will have the full responsibility for the business and people. You and your team are responsible for developing and implementing global category strategies that will be locally relevant. You develop and implement the category segments strategy based on the purchase development process and actively monitor the external market conditions to find new business opportunities for category segments, especially in the area of Integrated Logistics Solutions. An important part of the assignment is to build close business oriented relationships with suppliers, key stakeholders, users and cross function within Ingka Procurement in order to drive performance and results. You will be manager for a purchasing team of category sourcing developer, purchasers and business administrator. As a manager you lead by good example and you enjoy coaching and developing your co-workers.
