You have 7-10 years with increased responsibility in business steering or finance related field and previous experience in business performance management, corporate finance and/or financial management, preferably in a multinational organization. Experience from working within business steering in a global environment, preferably having an understanding of the IKEA business model.
You communicate confidently in English (both spoken and written) and have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business / Finance / Economics or a related field. You demonstrate strong ability to prioritize, provide clear directions and multitask and have proven skills in developing people and providing support, coaching, training and career direction to others.
You have a good knowledge of project management processes, including methods and tools and how to integrate them. You also have a good understanding of data science, new technologies, analytics and their wide-ranging application in business context. You get energized by increasing customer value, driving business growth and contributing to overall success and results through people. You demonstrate good knowledge of how to create and implement change initiatives and manage stakeholders; good understanding of the customer needs, demands and expectations on the markets.
As a person you are flexible, multi-task, fast learner and pro-active, comfortable handling unclear or unpredictable situations; you can work under pressure, meet required deadlines and know how to prioritise your work. In other words, you are a passionate and hands on professional with a strong sense of urgency and a solution focused approach. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
The vision of the Business Steering function is to provide a state-of-the art business steering for Ingka Group, capturing real time & predictive opportunities and securing the right resources in the right place, delivering the highest value impact.
We want to steer our business with more speed and accuracy, take and implement decisions faster, respond faster to deviations and secure compliance. We want to be equipped with the right data, advanced analytics and competences to make data-driven decisions. We steer and secure profitable long-term growth in the omnichannel context, by enabling better business decisions, securing effectiveness and efficiency and leading in accordance with financial and business strategies. This includes securing (financial) business performance, and a safe and secure environment in compliance with laws, policies, standards and processes.
The Group Business Steering organisation is divided in different areas and the Business Navigator we are recruiting will be part of the Business Steering Retail Operation area and within that the Year cycle and performance process development team.
The Business Navigator is a senior member of one of the functional areas within Group Business Steering, actively steering the business by being a proactive speaking partner towards business leaders across the Ingka Group. The Business Navigator translates broad business needs into steering actions and contributes to the identification, development and evaluation of business opportunities. The Business Navigator interacts with key leaders and specialists, including group function leadership and country functional managers.
The Business Navigator works together with BN Business Partners, BN Teamleader and Business Analysts to support planning, performance management and decision support processes in the businesses, group functions and service functions, preparing analyses, insights and recommendations.
More specifically, this means you will:
• Be responsible for the maintenance, coordination and production of assigned financial plans, budgets and forecasts; parts of the business performance management framework; investment plans and connected tools and working methods. • Be responsible for production and distribution of analysis, insights and recommendations related to Ingka business performance, investment plans, financial position and risks as assigned. • Be responsible for active development and implementation of new ways of steering and measuring the business. • Contribute to the operation and development of an assigned functional area within Group Business Steering, developing and implementing relevant business steering principles, policies, frameworks and tools. • Identify business opportunities and areas of improvement and initiate, lead and/or contribute to improvement work in assigned initiatives and tasks • Contribute to business performance management and financial decision support of Group and Service Functions as assigned. • Contribute to the development of the team and its members by providing senior business steering and financial competence and experience. • Contribute to the implementation of Ingka Financial Strategy, planning, resource allocation and performance management. • Secure cross-organisational readiness and continued business growth in terms of competence, performance and succession through enabling an end-to-end approach.
