Job description

WHO YOU ARE

You see things a little differently. So do we. We believe that what you value is more important than what your CV says.
We offer positions that will challenge your skills and let you grow. Come and see things a little differently with us.

You have 2-5 years working experience in Transaction Services, Corporate Finance / M&A / (investment) banking / business development / Private Equity, preferably within an international and dynamic environment. You are fluent in English (both spoken and written) and have a postgraduate university degree in business, economics or sciences.

You are knowledgeable in the area of Corporate Finance, M&A, investment banking and/or strategic consulting and you have excellent analytical and (financial) modelling skills (with strong proficiency in a.o. Excel) and a proven track record of delivering high quality output (investment proposals, financial models, presentations) under time-pressure. You have knowledge of and interest in the focus areas for our investments and acquisitions: Customer Fulfilment, Life @ Home Services, and Circularity.

You are a self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and commitment to excellence. You have intrinsic motivation to ‘dig deep’ and truly understand companies, financials, and their drivers and you have experience and networks across the relevant markets/business areas.

You demonstrate good judgment, high level of integrity, trustworthiness and maturity (independence); you can prioritize and take sound and common-sense decisions. You have a strong drive to build and share knowledge. You get energized by contributing to overall success and results through collaboration and get inspired by working together in an ever-changing complex, multi-dimensional, multicultural and multinational environment.

And, of course, you share and live the IKEA culture and values and have a genuine interest in home furnishing.

• Prepare in depth analysis/reports of selected investment opportunities.
• Support the development and fine tuning of the investment strategy and investment focus.
• Use and develop relevant research/analysis tools, techniques and methods to professionalise our research and analysis process and capabilities.
• Actively contribute to creating and sharing knowledge/insights/competence within Ingka Investments in each of the defined investment focus areas.
• Coordinate and manage our external digital research tools and databases.
• Support preparation of investment proposals and material for decision making by the relevant decision-making bodies, using the relevant templates.
• Support deal execution (analysis, due diligence, business valuation, closing process).
• Support risk assessments at individual investment and portfolio level.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external counterparties/stakeholders to get access to relevant knowledge and information.
