You have minimum 3 years of facility or workplace operations experience in a multicultural environment and proven training or experience in the field of Facility, Service, Meeting or equivalent. You demonstrate good knowledge of work environment obligations and legal requirements in site operations and know enough about workplace operations trends and innovations to help IKEA develop workplace operations in a complex and changing environment. You can count on your extensive knowledge of facilities and services offered to solve all upcoming requests timely and effectively. You preferably have experience with IKEA facility/workplace operations.

You have good knowledge of technical and software solutions used in working and meeting environment and embrace technology as an enabler. You can work under high pressure and have the courage to take a clear standpoint and take action, expressing ideas and opinions effectively.

You are service minded, flexible, helpful, structured and proactive. You communicate confidently in English and preferably also in Dutch, both written and spoken. You are an open-minded team player who enjoys working in a diverse, complex, vibrant and changing multi-dimensional environment.

The workplace operations team, that you are part of, is here to provide service, support and infrastructure that creates a seamless meeting experience for our co-workers and all stakeholders connected to the IKEA ecosystem. As we are building a new office in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Workplace Operations Co-worker. In this role you will secure excellence in operations for all facilities and services connected to the hub that will enable efficient and effective meetings and working conditions, inspiring and relevant events and activities supporting our overall approach. You will maintain and continuously improve the experience of our co-workers by securing safe and well-maintained facilities and equipment; provide support for technical challenges and special needs, and secure available supply of any equipment or other material offered.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

• Secure high-quality standards and excellence in operations for maintenance of the physical work environment and technical equipment, availability of office supplies and up-to-date and high-quality information and communication.
• Execute or initiate any actions needed to keep all indoor and outdoor facilities, services and technical equipment in a shape as new as possible.
• Execute physical changes and replacement of any physical solution, both short-term and long-term.
• Plan and coordinate trainings for evacuation, first aid and rescue team, follow up on results and initiate actions to secure compliance.
• Monitor the Case Handling System (IKEA version of FMS system) and provide service to all co-workers having raised questions or malfunctions through this system.
• Be a speaking partner in daily operations for our internal and external partners supporting us and follow up on their delivery.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by following up on the usage of the different work and service areas and actively seeking for and acting upon any feedback or needs addressed by our co-workers or visitors.
• Be part of the first aid and rescue team, take duty responsibility for daily operations when scheduled and support other areas of Workplace Support, when cross-functional support or collaboration is needed.
• Anticipate change and adapt daily processes in a constantly evolving environment.

We are looking for a full time (38 hours/week) coworker.
Working times can vary and we expect them to be between 07:30 and 18:00, Monday through Friday.
